    So what is a blog?

Hey! Glad you made it! In this post, I am going to make you perfectly understand what a blog is. So, where do I begin?

Simply put, a Blog is whatever you want it to be. It is your personal space. You can share anything and everything you want to with people all over the world. In just 15 years, blogs have grown from a puny minority to 112 million and growing [yea, seriously]. So how did this begin?

If my sources are correct, in 1994, a student named Justin Hall made use of the then popular USENET online discussion groups to record the events of the day, just like a diary. He called it a weB LOG. Many people then started adopting this and soon the 'web log hosted on usenet groups' became just 'Blogs'. As time passed, people wanted to share photos, videos and music. So, the basic definition of a blog evolved to what I already said: A blog is whatever you want it to be.

In my next post, I'll post important tips and terms for you to better understand blogs. Until then,

    Yours Truly.
